Our Staff
Emma Kerr - Executive Principal
Mrs Kerr joined Egloskerry Primary School in September 2008 and now oversees Primary Standards across the Primary Schools in our Trust. She is also the Principal Designate at Launceston Primary School, which opens in September 2021.
Mrs Kerr holds the National Practitioner Qualification for Headship (NPQH), has a BSc (Hons) degree in Business and completed her PGCE teacher training at the University of Plymouth's Exmouth campus (Rolle College). Prior to being a teacher she worked in London buying programming for ITV but moved to Cornwall in 2005 to train as a teacher, be closer to family and enjoy being by the sea.
She has taught in a variety of schools, across all age ranges, in both Devon and Cornwall and also in Sydney, Australia. Mrs Kerr is the Prince's Teaching Institute (PTI) South West Hub lead, and Co-Lead Nationally, delivering high-quality and subject specific Professional Development for teaching staff. The South West Hub consists of 22 schools and positively impacts hundreds of staff and thousands of pupils.
A keen petrol-head, Mrs Kerr started the Greenpower Goblin project at Egloskerry in 2008; children design, build and race electric kit cars. She thoroughly enjoys delivering lessons through a cross-curricular topic led approach to learning. Mrs Kerr is now a Trustee of Greenpower Educational Trust. She has a keen interest in polar exploration, especially Shackleton, and has enjoyed sharing this with the children via her 'Antarctica' topic work. She is a member of the Geographic Association Early Years and Primary Phase Committee and regularly writes articles for publication.
Rachel Davey - Head of School
I have been in education for 20 years both in teaching and leadership capacities across both state maintained and independent schools, working in schools in Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Hampshire and now Cornwall.
I have a passion for creative approaches to teaching and learning across the curriculum and in building children's confidence in their own abilities.
In my spare time I enjoy anything historical! as well as going on long cliff top walks.
Sarah Green - SENCO
Mrs Green is the SENCO Inclusion Lead across our Primary Cluster. Following the completion of her BEd, Mrs Green went on to further her passion for education through completing a MA in Education whilst teaching. She also holds the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination.
Mrs Green has taught in a variety of schools, across all age ranges, in the West Midlands, Plymouth and Cornwall. Mrs Green has a passion for Early Years Education and supporting children with additional needs.
Never wanting to sit still for too long, she loves nothing more than being outside, looking after her range of animals and completing gardening projects.
Jade Morgan - Senior Teacher
Mrs Morgan joined Egloskerry Primary School in September 2015 and was incredibly excited to begin teaching in her dream school. Mrs Morgan graduated from a School Direct teacher training course and has a BA (Hons) degree in Illustration from Swansea Metropolitan University.
She has taught across many schools, including large city schools and small rural schools, but especially enjoys the supportive and community centred ethos that is involved with smaller schools. Due to her degree background in the arts, she likes to adapt a creative approach to teaching and learning.
She was born in Cornwall and enjoys playing the piano, painting, cycling and walking the Cornish coast path. She had been inspired by different cultures and traditions after her travels around Brazil, Argentina, Indonesia and Vietnam.
Abi Flashman - EYFS and KS1 Lead
Mrs Flashman joined Egloskerry School in September 2013 and was delighted to start her career in such an inclusive and welcoming school. She graduated from SCITT teacher training and has a BA (Hons) degree in Working with Children, which was achieved at Marjon University.
Mrs Flashman has completed her NPQSL in senior leadership and is excited to work across the adacemy in all three primary schools to continue consistancy and collaboartion.
Mrs Flashman enjoys participating in many sports, but her main passion is competitive and social netball and badminton. Mrs Flashman shares her love and passion for sport by leading PE across the School. She also enjoys various activities including long dog walks with her Cocker Spaniel and spending time with her family and friends.
Asha Libby - Class Teacher
Mrs Libby joined Egloskerry Primary School in September 2017, and was excited to start her career in such a warm and welcoming school. She is a graduate from the University of St. Mark and St. John, with a degree in Primary Education. During her training, she was fortunate enough to work in a number of schools in Plymouth and Cornwall, as well as working in a school in London.
Outside of school, she enjoys exploring Cornwall, London and European cities. She also enjoy spending her summers with her family at tractor rallies and is a HUGE Harry Potter and Disney fan!

Melanie Vercoe - School Secretary
Mrs Vercoe joined Egloskerry Primary School in March 2022 and she brings with her 20 years of secretarial/admin/customer care experience.
Mrs Vercoe enjoys spending time with her family and dog. She is also a keen baker.
